Ross Bleckner

American artist Ross Bleckner was the youngest artist ever to have a solo exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum in New York. In this catalog Lisa Denison states:

“...many CalArts alumni of Bleckner’s generation - Troy Brauntauch, Eric Fischl, Jack Goldstein, Matt Mullican, and David Salle among them - found expression in the realm of painting, albeit by way of a conceptual reexamination of painting’s meaning after the collapse of modernism.”

Bleckner continues to exhibit his paintings and prints internationally in galleries such as The Hague, Netherlands; the Galerie Ghislaine Hussenot, Paris; the Akira Ikeda Gallery, Tokyo; Mary Boone Gallery, NYC; the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, NYC; and the Art Gallery of Ontario, Canada. Ross Bleckner is also represented in many public collections including the Museum of Modern Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia.
